La Revue de La Céramique et du Verre

フランスの陶芸・ガラス専門誌「La Revue de la Céramique et du Verre」３月号にインタビュー記事を掲載いただきました。

​年末から年始にかけて記者の方からいただいた沢山の質問に回答し、2011年から取り組んでいる、人々が身に着けた古着と身体や内面の記憶との関わりや、身体を通した布から陶への物質の間のイメージの変遷のテーマについて、じっくりと作品の意図が伝わるように全力でお話させていただきました。

フランスの隣国、ベルギーの首都ブリュッセルで私が大学院時代を過ごしたのは2007～2009年のこと。(ずいぶん時が経ちました…) 2009年に帰国してからはまだベルギーに一度も訪れることができていませんが、16年経ちパンデミックの大変な混乱の時期を経て、また様々な世界情勢の変化もあり、街の様子や流行、学生たちの制作の傾向なども変わったことでしょう。

私が学んだラ・カンブル美大はフランスからの学生も多く、文化的な交流も盛んで、2009年にブリュッセルで開催した私の個展をこの雑誌に取り上げていただいたことを思いだし、16年の月日を経てこのように取り上げていただいた巡り合わせに驚き、また感謝しています。日本での学生時代に出会ったフランスの作家の友人や、ラ・カンブル美大のクラスメートであるアーティストの友人、Caroline Andrin先生からお祝いのメッセージが届いたことも何より嬉しいことでした。

プライベートでは子育てもまだまだ忙しく、なかなか友人たちをまめに連絡を取り合うことができていない時期が長く続きます。そのようななかでも、心のどこかで思い出し、応援してくれている。そんな友人知人の存在に感謝しています。

I’m pleased to announce that my interview was published in the March issue of “Céramique et du Verre,” a French magazine specializing in ceramics and glass art.

I think it is a dense and detailed interview about the relationship between old clothes worn by people and their bodies and inner memories, and the transition of images between materials through the body, from the reason why I started to pursue art, from my graduate school days in Belgium, and since 2011.

I spent my graduate school years in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, a neighbor of France, from 2007-2009. There are many students from France at　college of art in French-speaking regions, and cultural exchange is very active.

I recall that a article about my solo exhibition in Brussels in 2009 appeared in this magazine, and I am grateful for the chance to be featured in such a big way 16 years later. Thank you Ms.MaÏlys Celeux-Lanval for the article.
